National Map Reading Week is Coming

Are you fanatic about maps, location and data? if this sounds like you, why not get involved in National Map Reading Week to be entered into a competition to win an Action Camera.

For the first time ever the Ordnance Survey, are holding a National Map Reading Week, from the 17-23 October to help you stay safe when you #getoutside.

To coincide with National Map Reading Week, we are inviting our Geo Geek outdoorsy map loving community to create a map using Azimap and share it on social media, using the #getoutside hashtag to be entered into a competition to win an Action Camera.

Why take part?

We want you to stay safe when exploring the great outdoors. But with the increase emergency rescue service call outs, we feel National Map Reading Week is the perfect opportunity for our Geo Geek outdoorsy community to map the mountains, forest parks, trails and rivers which they like to explore.

Whilst we still encourage you take a paper map and compass on your adventures, we realise the importance digital maps has when planning an adventure. Which is why we are encouraging you to take part by creating your #getoutside adventure map and sharing it with us on social media.
