During 2016, we exhibited at numerous geospatial industry trade events. This provided the team with the opportunity to showcase Azimap to the industry. It was at these trade events that it was confirmed Azimap was missing one vital feature: raster support.
Raster datasets consist of cells (or pixels) which have been organised into rows and columns (grids) where each cell contains a value representing information, such as temperature. Often referred to as sentinel or aerial photography, imagery, digital pictures or scanned maps, raster provides businesses with the tools to import, visualise and analyse imagery, which is critical to their business needs.
As we enter a new year, we are delighted to announce that raster support is coming to Azimap.
At present, customers can display and analyse Raster data; however, the process required to complete this task is not intuitive, as data cannot be imported without the assistance of the Azimap support team, resulting in a poor customer and user experience.
The good news is that customers can expect Raster support to become available within the first quarter of 2017. Once deployed, businesses will have the necessary tools to manually import, visualise, and analyse Raster datasets on a basemap of their choice.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a demonstration of Azimap, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.
