With recent major changes to Azimap, including the launch of 3D, we knew our help content was due a refresh. So with the help of Sanity, we rebuilt our entire Help Centre from the ground up.
Why we made the change
Our old knowledge base was built in-house, and over time it became harder to maintain. Keeping it up to date had become a job in itself, and we didn't want our guides to fall behind the product, especially after the launch of new features.
We set ourselves a clear brief. We wanted:
Help content our team could update without a developer
A setup that works with our internal tutorial tool
A simple way to review every article before it goes live
What’s new
The new Help Centre runs on Sanity, a content platform that replaces our old self-built site. Here’s what that means for you.
Everything in one place. Tutorials, concepts, FAQs and videos now share a single article format, organised in a clear topic tree, so it’s easier to find what you need.
Release notes built in. Every product release now has its own page, with a dedicated section and styling, right alongside the guides. You can see what’s changed and how to use it in the same place.
Better search and access. The site was built with search, mobile use, and accessibility in mind from day one.
A faster way to get help content
The biggest change is behind the scenes. Our AI-powered tutorial tool now creates the structure of a new tutorial, helping to speed up the creation of new help articles and guides.
That means that users can now access help guides and articles as soon as a new feature goes live. No more waiting around for a relevant guide.
