Quickly identify any blockages or obstacles between two points. Generate a report that highlights the difference in terrain levels between 2 points. Change the height and location of your points and find the right position where they can clearly see each other without any obstructions.

Terrain Volume Measurement

Measure the volume of any given area in seconds. Create a polygon over any area, set the depth and material, and Azimap will automatically calculate the volume of the entire area.

Viewshed Analysis

Easily determine what is visible from a single observation spot. Place a point in your 3D environment, and Azimap will provide a point-of-view visualisation highlighting all visible areas in green and non-visible areas in red.

3D Model Placement

Import your 3D models and view them in a map environment. Supporting glTF file formats, quickly place your 3D models into Azimap using our intuitive drag-and-drop importer. Move, rotate, copy and place your model and conduct further analysis to see how they will look and affect the local landscape.

Sunlight Duration Analysis

Determine where the sun shines and how strongly across your 3D datasets. Simulating the moving sun, easily calculate how long each location receives direct sunlight within a set window, while accounting for shadows from the terrain or 3D buildings. Results are interactive or can be exported as a CSV.

Building Extrusion Analysis

Convert your 2D building data into 3D models. By applying height attributes or rules to your data, Azimap will convert it into a 3D model that lets you explore building mass, volumes, and story counts.

Slope Analysis

Instantly identify and analyse the ground slope for any given area. Visualise slopes with directional arrows and colour ramps with results exported as a raster grid or point layer for further assessment.

Elevation Profile

Easily inspect height changes, gradients and terrain roughness. Generate detailed elevation profiles along selected lines or routes to support planning, flood risk assessment and engineering design.

City Surface Profiling

Instant city heights profiles from terrain and 3D buildings. Selecting two points on the map will create a line revealing the measured surface height along it across all available 3D content. The resulting city surface profile can be exported for further analysis.
